The essential oil , the most powerful and evolved extract of the vegetable kingdom, is present in so - called "aromatic" plants. It is obtained in most cases by distillation by steam distillation of volatile aromatic compounds of the plant, except the citrus essences which are obtained by simple cold expression of the bark of the fruit. The composition of active biochemical molecules both very rich and complex, and very variable depending on the essential oil considered, will determine the multiple properties and activities of it on the body.

In aromatic bath

Today, the aromatic bath is a moment of well-being par excellence! It is a simple and effective technique for keeping fit, relaxing, warming up, relaxing or relieving muscles and joints. When incorporated into the bath, essential oils offer all their benefits by a double action of the cutaneous way and the respiratory way .

Dosage : we advise you to put between 10 and 15 drops of essential oils in the bathtub or your bucket. For this, it is necessary that they are mixed beforehand with adispersant such as solubol (1 drop of essential oil for 4 drops of solubol) because they are not soluble in water.
You can also pour a few drops of essential oils on the sea salt or Epsom salt before adding them in hot water (35 to 37 ° C) of the tub. However, nothing prevents you from a cooler bath to activate blood circulation.
Another idea for solubilizing essential oils is to achieve aaromatic bath oil by mixing 10% of essential oils and 90% of sulfated castor oil or 1 to 10% of essential oils mixed with Gelissucre . Then dilute 1 to 2 tablespoons of one of these mixtures in the water of your bath.
